Imagine any two people exchanging a holiday gift. The gifts that they exchange are recieved with rather extreme reactions; these reactions may be very positive, surprizing, disappointing, etc.

Write a short (~1 page) piece involving these two people, their gifts, and their reactions. In your writing, try to illustrate their reactions, not mere telling it. (e.g. "Sally clenchd her jaw and rolled her eyes." vice "Sally didn't like her husband's gift.")

This piece would be only for yourself; you need not share it with anyone--so be honest and start writing.
